Smiling Pasta (Wei Xiao Pasta)

Genre: Romance, Comedy
Rating: 3.50/5.00

Trailer
Chen Xiao Shi (Cyndi Wang) is an average girl except that she has a three-month-curse when it comes to dating. However, she has the support of her loving family and works at their family-owned restaurant that is well known for their delicious pasta. He Qun (Nicholas Teo) is a young famous singer with an aspiring career and a huge fanbase. The two characters are living contently until one day, while running away from the papparazi, He Qun trips and falls onto Chen Xiao Shi, accidentally kissing her. This event makes headline news and suddenly the two find themselves the center of attention for the media. From there on, the two must cooperate to avoid ruining He Qun's reputation.
Smiling Pasta is light-hearted, funny, and cute. Although it is more towards the average side, the fact that Nicholas Teo is the male lead is probably enough reason for many of us to watch this series. (If that isn't the case for you, then you probably haven't seen his smile.) Also, the songs in this drama are quite romantic. Overall, this makes for a pretty decent watch and while this series would have been better off being 12 episodes instead of 17, you may find yourself watching it just to get your daily dose of Chen Xiao Shi and He Qun. Absolutely brilliant. A dramatic and breath-taking storyline that will leave many of you in tears and awe. Kirihara Ryoji (Yamada Takayuki) and Ayase Haruka (Karasawa Yukiho) from 'Sekachu' pair up one more time to bring you a tragic love story. Kirihara Ryoji is a young boy living in poverty who meets Ayase Haruka, who is just as poor, and instantly falls in love with her. However, Ryoji finds out that his father has a sick perversion for Ayase. He follows them into an abandoned building where he witnesses his father taking nude pictures of her. Filled with anger, Ryoji kills his own father. From there on, Ryoji and Ayase sacrifice much of their lives to cover up the crime, the biggest sacrifice of which is being apart. This drama is about how far you will go and how long you will wait for the one you love. It is about a love so strong that it can sometimes blur the line between what is right and wrong. Why Why Love

Genre: Romance, Comedy

Rating: 4.0/5.0
Although this drama does recycle a few overused plot devices, it presents them in new ways that are refreshing and quite funny. Tong Jai Di (Raine Yang) portrays a poor girl with a unique personality that deviates from your everyday shy and clumsy heroine. While selling tickets at a charity fair, she meets Huo Yan (Kingone), a kind and responsible heir to a very wealthy company, and his brother Huo Da (Mike He), who is the exact opposite and the 'black sheep' of the family. From there on the drama unfolds into a love triangle where each brother struggles for Jai Di's heart. This series definitely has some of the most romantic scenes in Taiwanese dramas, and the chemistry couldn't be any better. I highly recommend this for those of you who can't get enough of the romance genre. To watch it on Veoh, click here.To watch it on Youtube, click here.
